Reviews:

In the second book to the Gretchen Lowell series, this book is thrilling and chills you to the core. The escape of Gretchen Lowell in this novel adds a kick to the story. Even with his marriage in shambles, Archie can’t stop being attracted to Gretchen. This is unlike any romantic suspense novels. Some involves sloppy kisses and awkward hugs whereas this novel doesn’t. It revolves around a deathly addiction. Best of all, it leaves you screaming for more. It is by far the most amazing romantic suspense though some people might have different views.

Once again, Gretchen Lowell is back with more gore and seduction than before. It never gets old. This story is inexplicably good. I know some people might find it hard to believe, since a murderer is being treated like star. Yeah, shocking isn’t it? But, this book begs to differ. The murderers are always stars in the book. And that’s why readers read it in the first place. Who in their right mind would want to read some boring plot about a police officer’s life without some excitement in it!

Yes, sweet heart indeed. Those two lovebirds should seek some advice about their ‘romantic’ relationship and sort it out pronto. Goodness gracious, this book leaves me hanging once again. I’ve been left hanging on the edge TWICE now. It isn’t the best feeling in the world and I am hoping I would be the first person to get my hands on the third book as soon as possible. I’m having high hopes that the next book will be as good as this and the previous one.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but, reading thrillers make me want to become a police officer myself. Just think about it, hunting down the bad guys and saving the victims. But of course, not every story finishes with a happy ending. However, the adventures we can encounter would be embedded into our mind, without doubt. Then again, they are just fantasies. I sure do hope I get to read more of this series, particularly when Miss Chelsea ended it with a. oh-so-irritating cliffhanger.

This book is just stupendous! Unlike the normal mystery, thriller storybook, one usually reads, this book contains just enough romance combined with the mysteries waiting to be solved. I am always excited when I see Archie think about Gretchen. A police inspector and a serial killer? An unusual pair but will still make one inquisitive to find out about their blooming romance. It is truly one of the best romance suspense storybook I have ever read.

Lo’ and behold! The infamous Gretchen Lowell is back with a few more tricks up her sleeve! Chelsea Cain’s books have my heart palpitating the entire journey whilst reading it. This is a wonderfully written book and Gretchen’s demeanor never fails to amaze me. She is a truly exceptional man-killer. Awaiting for the third book!
