Summary:

This story is told from both Frannie’s and Luc’s alternating points of view. Personal Demons begins when Luc Cain, a demon employed in Hell’s Acquisitions Department, walks into Frannie Cavanaugh’s high school (Haden High) on a mission to tag Frannie’s soul for Hell. King Lucifer realizes that there was something special about Frannie. He meets Frannie and uses his demonic charm to lure her to him. Unfortunately for Luc, Heaven has other plans and he’s just started making progress when the angel Gabriel shows up and Gabriel is prepared to do anything to keep Luc from getting what he came for. Frannie finds herself torn between the two boys. As the story unfolds, a variety of demons show up to finish the job that Luc is unable to bring himself to complete. Eventually, Luc and Gabriel team up to tell Frannie about the truth about the power which she possesses but is ignorant of. But Frannie won’t bend to Luc’s advice and Gabriel is unable to tag her soul for Heaven or protect her until she forgives herself for her perceived guilt in the death of her twin brother years ago. Frannie find herself falling for both of the guys who are also in love with her. Eventually, they work together to find a way out of this mess.

Conclusion:

This book ends with Frannie choosing Luc over Gabriel but what she doesn’t know is that Gabriel will willingly give up his wings for her.

Opinion:

This story is fun and entertaining. For those who don’t like supernatural novels, I suggest you read this anyway. Believe me , it’s exciting and the well-worn theme of good versus evil shouldn’t be this much fun, but it is! It doesn’t follow the typical storyline where good triumps evil. It introduces some wild twists but leaves enough for a sequel.
